About Lanier Softball
Opened in the Fall 2010, Lanier High School is a Region 8, AAAAAA Academy High School in the award-winning Gwinnett County Public Schools district.
Most LHS students come from Lanier Middle School, which is fed by Sycamore Elementary, Sugar Hill Elementary and White Oak Elementary.
Dr. Christopher Martin is the Principal of Lanier High School. He has a long history of excellence in GCPS, and will surely continue that as he leads Lanier High School into the future.
Although Lanier is still a young school, it has all of the offerings of a large, established school, from Academics through Athletics.

Caitlin Schmidt
Head Coach
Coach Caitlin Schmidt is entering her 18th year in education, 4th year at Lanier High School as a Health and Physical Education Teacher and 4th year as the Varsity Head Fastpitch Softball Coach. Coach Schmidt comes from Cambridge High School in Milton, GA where she was a part of the 2016 AAAAAA State Championship team as well as a top 5 finish in 2017 as an Assistant Coach.
Coach Schmidt graduated from Sebring High School in Sebring, FL in 2000. She continued her education at Hillsborough Community College and South Florida State College where she was a scholarship softball and volleyball player. After suffering a season ending rotator cuff injury, Coach Schmidt transferred to the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Physical Education and a minor in Athletic Coaching.
When Coach Schmidt isn't on the clay, you can find her volunteering with the Junior League of Atlanta, participating in philanthropic events with the Greater Atlanta Alpha Delta Pi Alumnae Association, traveling and cheering on her beloved Atlanta Braves and Alabama Crimson Tide.
Coach Schmidt is married to Andrew Schmidt whom is a teacher and football coach at North Gwinnett High School. They have two fur children named Gibby & Juedy.
